Why come to Ardnamurchan??Scotland has been described as the adventure capital of Europe with its beautiful and varied environments offering world-class wilderness. Ardnamurchan is the most westerly point of the British mainland and its remote and rugged landscape offers excellent opportunities for wildlife spotting. Otters, deer, pine martens, sea eagles, seals, whales and dolphins can all be seen with a little patience. Beautiful white sandy beaches, long or short walking trails, boat hire for fishing/wildlife spotting trips, mountain biking trails – you can be as active or relaxed as you like. The weather is full of surprises in western Scotland – generally changeable whatever time of year but with appropriate clothing the outdoors can be enjoyed at all times. In winter the roads are only very rarely snowbound and never for long. The Scottish landscape can be especially beautiful in the winter months with the mountains snow capped against a blue sky and the roads have little traffic.
